Carbide endmill for general steel work. Tested on 4140 at HRC28, 80 m/min, 0.08 mm/rev, dry. Got 180 minutes of tool life per corner, surface finish Ra 0.4. Sharp out of the box; coating is even and well-bonded. Exactly what you would want from a solid carbide endmill for steel/aluminum. 5 stars.
Variable-helix / unequal-pitch endmill for chatter suppression. We used these on a long-reach deep-pocket operation in 4140 where we previously had vibration issues. The unequal pitch really does reduce harmonic chatter — we doubled our depth-of-cut and doubled our feed rate. 5 stars.
These replaced our Chinese-supplied carbide mills for 4140 at HRC30-32. Honestly, the difference is quality control — these are sharper out of the box, more concentric, and the wear pattern is more consistent across a batch of 20. We saw 20-30 percent longer tool life per corner. Worth the slight premium over budget brands. 5 stars.
4-flute T-type endmill for steel. We tested on A36 mild steel at 90 m/min, 0.1 mm/rev with coolant. Tool ran smooth, no chatter, no premature wear. Lifespan was about 90 minutes before we rotated corners. Edge geometry is consistent with our reference brands. Great value at this price point.
Carbide endmill for low-alloy steel. We cut A3 / 45# / alloy steel under HRC30. Used at 100 m/min, 0.12 mm/rev, dry. Tools lasted around 4 hours in continuous cut, surface finish was excellent, edge wear was uniform. Standard tungsten carbide; nothing fancy but does the job properly. Honest review.
